Has it been a while since you studied safety topics like emergency preparedness (incident command structures, roles and responsibilities, basic first aid, fire protection, etc.) hoisting and rigging, leadership principles, communication strategies, evacuation, trenching, shoring, machine guarding, physical security, hierarchy of controls, work practice controls, consensus standards (ANSI, ISO, NFPA, IDLH, etc.) regulatory standards (29 CFR, 40 CFR, etc.)? If you do not have a wide breadth of experience in each of the blueprint topic areas (called domains), this will help you gain knowledge in unfamiliar areas. It will also provide you with the opportunity to speak directly with an exam expert to get a feel for how hard the exam will be given your knowledge and experience and how to establish the best study plan possible for your specific needs.
